Our ambitions are far-reaching and we believe that verbal treats can work wonders for individual people and societies.

Direction – OBJECTIVES
As the key aims listed at the home page show, this initiative is all about SPOKEN LANGUAGE and INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS. We are building a pool of verbal treats 'offered’ by people to one another across the world, thus emphasising and protecting the human element, threatened by the development of technology and AI.
SPOKEN GOODS
Verbal treats such as stories, jokes, riddles, and discoveries are scattered all over the world. Yet, as people tend to listen and watch things online at the cost of speaking and talking, our objective is to preserve these spoken goods and promote their regular use.
SPEAKING COMMUNITY
Verbal treats do not belong to any particular group of people in any particular part of the part. Instead, they are universal. This being the case, our objective is to recognise and expand the world’s speaking community and thereby foster fair communication and integration.
Execution – ACTIONS
In our activity we combine THE OLD with THE NEW, meaning that the pool of the verbal treats we include here covers two complementary sets – first, those that are well established in the oral tradition, and, second, those newly created upon current events, phenomena, etc.
VERBAL CANON
All around the world we can encounter verbal treats that have been passed on from generation to generation. We assemble this worldly verbal canon before it becomes a thing of the past and/or is replaced by some 'spoken’ creations of the humanity-dimishing AI.
VERBAL PRODUCE
At the same time, we gather such verbal treats that relate to the present reality and the world surrounding us in all its beauty and dimensions. We try to promote this kind of verbal produce for all kinds of purposes, and for the sake of democracy and equality.
Capacity – RESOURCES
In order to secure fairness and representativeness, our pool of verbal treats includes items from all the world’s CONTINENTS and a wide range of DISCIPLINES/ISSUES. If yours is not sufficiently covered, you are most welcome to contact us and help us fill in such a gap.
WORLDWIDE NETWORK
As 'Our Team’ subpage shows, we are already a highly international circle. Yet, our intention is to engage in the initiative people from every country of the world (which can show, among other things, that verbal treats develop best where technology and AI do not).
GLOBAL POOL
Apart from being intercontinental, the pool of verbal treats is interdisciplinary and multidimensional. We impose no restrictions as to settings, walks of life, interests, or language registers – as long as spoken items are civil and promote humanity, solidarity, and peace.
Quality – IMPACT
In line with the key objectives of the initative, its success will be evaluated through the prism of two criteria, one to do with SPOKEN LANGUAGE itself, and the other one to do with its SOCIAL INFLUENCE. The two dimensions obviously boost each other.
ORAL PRACTICES
We advocate the introduction of verbal treats into different spheres of life, be it education (as e.g. a method of classroom assessment) or social events (via e.g. verbal treats competitions). We welcome all proposals for how to apply and develop verbal treats further.
SOCIAL BENEFITS
Most vitally, we seek ways and evidence of verbal treats exerting a positive impact on smaller or bigger communities in their various dimensions. We invite all people of good will to support and/or contribute to this initiative, which we see as noble and badly needed.
